Bits and pieces, odds and ends

Hello, everyone!  This is going to be one of those boring catch-all posts that provide little value to the world, so if you want to skip it, that’s fine by me.

Basically, I just wanted to let you all know that there will be no blog next week, as I am going on a short vacation.  So don’t panic.  Well, you can panic if you want.  How flattering.

Anyway, here are a few things I’ve been up to lately:

1) I saw a rainbow!  My house is, quite literally, at the end of it (behind the trees; not the white one in the picture).

2) I won Camp NaNoWriMo!  Book 3 is complete thanks to July’s sustained efforts during the second Camp session of the year.

3) I’m working very hard on my new books.  I’m currently doing a quick first-past edit of Book 3 before I start writing Book 4.  Thanks to all your comments last week, I have also queried a bunch of agents, so I’ll be waiting to hear back from them before deciding if I want to self-publish or not.  I do apologize if this is frustrating to those of you who expected me to have new content available this summer, as I may have vaguely promised a while ago.

If you can provide a very compelling reason why I should give you a sneak peak of the manuscript of Dark the Night Descending before it’s published, perhaps I will.  But only if it’s really compelling.  Brownies are compelling.

Anyway, that’s pretty much it.  I’m excited to take a bit of a break from the daily grind, even if it means working extra hard now to make up some things while I’m away.  It’ll be worth it, I hope.  Have a great week, everyone, and here’s a bonus Oliver picture to tide you over while I’m gone.
